Severus Alexander, AE 20mm, Grade ??, The coin is struck slightly off-centre causing the top part of the obverse legend on the right to be missing, This coin is featured on wildwinds you'll notice that the pictures don't look alike cause I managed to clean up the coin some more especially the reverse, Recuil General 617, Sear Greek Imp Coins 3287.

Obverse The portrait is of Severus Alexander a radiate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right. The legend reads M AVP CEVH AΛEΞANΔPOC AVG meaning M (Marcus) AVP (Aurelius) CEVH (severus) AΛEΞANΔPOC (Alexander) (his name in Greek spelling) AVG Augustus which defines him as the emperor.
Reverse

The reverse show the letters NIKAIE ΩN between three standards. ΩN is the Greek genitive plural ending, so the inscription means "Of the Nicaeans".
