Obverse | The portrait is of Probus a radiate bust facing left, he's wearing a consular robe and is holding an eagle-tipped scepter in his right hand. The legend reads IMP PROBVS PF AVG meaning: IMP (Imperator = the Emperor / supreme military commander) PROBVS (his name) PF (Pius Felix / Dutiful and Wise) AVG Augustus which defines him as being the emperor. The legend is broken which is a sign of the highest respect and signifies him as the senior Augustus |

The reverse shows Sol in a quadriga moving left he's holding a globe (symbolizing the world) and a whip. The legend reads SOLI INVICTO which translates as: The unconquerable/invincible Sun |
