Coin Description Constantius II, AE 17mm, Grade ??, The reverse is struck slightly off-centre showing only the lower portion of the letters of the top part of the reverse legend, RIC VII Heraclea 118, RBC 365, VM 72.
Obverse The portrait is of Constantius II a laureate, draped & cuirassed bust looking right. The legend reads FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C meaning: FL IVL (are for his first names Flavius Julius) CONSTANTIVS (his name) NOB C (Nobilitas Caesar / Royal Heir to the throne).
Reverse Two soldiers standing on either side of two military standards, each holding a spear and leaning on a shield. There is a dot between the two standards. The legend reads GLORIA EXERCITVS which translates as "Glory of the Army" or "Glory to the Army".
Mint The exergue reads SMHΓ meaning SM (Sacred Moneta / Sacred Money) H for the Heraclea mint and Γ which stands for the 3rd officina (gamma).
